Dear All,

We are pleased to announce that the following SIB course on:

Transcriptomics Analysis: RNA-seq<https://www.sib.swiss/training/course/20210119_RNASQ>

which will be streamed on 19-21 January 2022 is now open for applications.

RNA sequencing uses next-generation sequencing (NGS) to reveal the presence and quantity of RNA in a biological sample at a given moment, analyzing the continuously changing cellular transcriptome. RNA-seq data is highly accurate for quantifying expression levels with high reproducibility. Furthermore, a large dynamic range of transcript expression levels can be detected with a very low background signal.

This 3-day course is designed for life scientists who are new in the RNA-seq data field but have some R and statistical knowledge. The course will provide an overview of the RNA-seq analysis pipeline, as well as the downstream analysis of the resulting data using bioconductor packages in R. Please note that this course does NOT cover NGS techniques, experimental design or statistical methods.

Further detailed information, prerequisites and application form are available here<https://www.sib.swiss/training/course/20210119_RNASQ>.

Should you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact us at training at sib.swiss<mailto:training at sib.swiss>.

Best wishes,

Diana
