Dear All,

There are a few seats left for the SIB course “Introduction to Glycoinformatics” which will be streamed from Geneva on 25 - 26 May 2021.

This 2-day course is an opportunity to update and extend your knowledge of glycoproteins through the use of bioinformatics resources collectively called “glycoinformatics”. We will provide an overview of the challenging questions raised by the study of glycans as non-template driven molecules and the solutions that are currently proposed to store, search, analyse and visualise the effect(s) of protein glycosylation on protein structure, function(s) and interactions.

This course is targeting any life scientist, from academia or industry: biologists, biochemists, from master students to advanced researchers.

There are two components to this course:

• morning lectures introducing bioinformatics for glycobiology with a focus on glycoproteins, glycans and glycan-binding proteins
• afternoon hands-on sessions to learn to use of glycoinformatics resources

Apply for the lectures and practicals (fees apply, registration is mandatory) here<https://www.sib.swiss/training/course/20210525_GLYCO>.
Apply for the lectures only (free-of-charge, registration is also mandatory) here<https://www.sib.swiss/training/course/20210525_GLYCL>.

Should you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact us at training at sib.swiss<mailto:training at sib.swiss>.

Have a good weekend,

Monique
