Dear colleagues,

The SIB is organizing again its highly successful series of classes on
presentation skills. These classes are taught by Damian Conway, a
well-known speaker and trainer, and they have consistently received
near-perfect feedback from past participants.

All participants, from master or PhD students to lab heads, will benefit
from the techniques presented in these two.

There will be three separate courses:

* "Advanced Technical Presentation 1: Core Techniques" will take place
   on Monday 9 March 2020.
This class explains — and demonstrates — the key techniques that
combine to produce an effective and enjoyable technical
presentation. You can find more information at

     https://www.sib.swiss/training/course/2020-03-presentation-core

* "Advanced Technical Presentation 2: Design and Delivery Skills", the
followup class, will take place on Tuesday 10 March 2020.
This class will reveal many additional subtle and sophisticated
techniques that can lift your presentations from "great" to
"extraordinary". It is recommended to follow the first class before
attending this one, but this is not compulsory. You can find more
   information at

https://www.sib.swiss/training/course/2020-03-presentation-design-delivery

* "Advanced Technical Presentation 3: Persuasive Speaking", will take
place on Wednesday 11 March 2020.
Damian Conway will show you how to design, create, and deliver short,
powerful, and (above all) different presentations for technical
briefings, funding requests, business proposals, etc.

If you need to give any kind of persuasive presentation, this class
will provide you with the tools, the techniques, and the insights to
speak more effectively, more convincingly, and more successfully.

This class is independent from the other two (although you will get
more from it if you have followed any of the others). You can find
   more information at

     https://www.sib.swiss/training/course/2020-03-persuasive-speaking
