We are pleased to announce the following SIB course:
"Statistics for Life Scientists"
This four-day course will be held in Basel on 17-20 October 2016. It is addressed to life science researchers working with quantitative data who wish to improve their knowledge of basic statistics and apply this to a variety of biological problems. Topics covered during the course include: exploratory data analysis, hypothesis tests, linear models, correlation and regression, tests and models for next-generation sequencing (NGS) expression data, and cluster analysis. A detailed program will follow soon.
Participants should be comfortable with the R environment<https://www.rstudio.com/> and be able to read, understand and write basic R commands<https://www.r-project.org/> before attending this course to follow the practical exercises.
