[sib-courses] "GATK Workshop" - Sept 26-28 in Basel

Dear all,
We are pleased to announce the following training event:

"Genome Analysis Toolkit (GATK) Workshop"

The SIB Swiss Institute of Bioinformatics will be hosting the GATK development team from the Broad Institute to discuss their pipeline for variant discovery from NGS data. The workshop will consist of lectures, discussion and hands-on tutorials, with topics including:

- GVCF workflow for joint variant discovery in cohorts
- RNAseq-specific processing
- somatic variant discovery using MuTect2
- preview of the upcoming GATK version 4, including a new workflow for CNV discovery

The lectures and general discussion will take place on September 26, and participants can choose to participate in a full day of hands-on training on either September 27 or 28.
