We are pleased to announce the SIB course entitled:

*"**Advanced statistics: Statistical modelling"*.

This four-day course, which will be held in Lausanne during the week of 
10-13 June 2014, will be centered on "statistical modeling" applied to 
biological problems, and we plan to discuss the following topics: 
advanced linear models, mixed models, generalized linear models, 
classification, and a short introduction to some Bayesian statistics. 
The emphasis will be put on concrete applications in biology.

The course is organized by the Bioinformatics Core Facility (BCF) of the 
SIB Swiss Institute of Bioinformatics.
