Dear all,

We are pleased to announce the following course from the Doctoral
Program StarOmics and organized by the SIB Swiss Institute of Bioinformatics

*"**Genetic Diseases - exome and complete genome sequencing and
interpretation"*.

This four-day course, which will be held in Lausanne during the week of
7- 10 April 2014, will be dedicated to the exome and complete genome
analysis, the use of genetic-based data as well as variant
identification in two domains, human genetics and cancer variation.
_Objectives:_
At the end of the presentations and practical sessions, participants are
expected to have a clear understanding of *genome variation*, how *to
perform GWAS* and *exome analyses*, and how to apply these techniques in
translational research.

_Requirements:_
Skill requirements: Participants should have a good understanding of
command-line UNIX in order to perform the practical exercises.
Material requirements: A WiFi-equipped laptop with 3-4GB of RAM, 40GB
