Dear colleagues,

I have the pleasure to invite you to the SIB Open House in 27-28 January
2014, Biel, Switzerland.

The SIB Swiss Institute of Bioinformatics provides core databases,
software and support in bioinformatics worldwide. It leads and
coordinates the field of bioinformatics in Switzerland by federating
bioinformatics research groups from Swiss universities and research
institutes.

The SIB currently counts with 46 research groups located in 7 main
cities of Switzerland. Each year, the SIB members get together in a
central place during 2 days to present their recent researches, to
exchange ideas, to discuss or learn new topics in bioinformatics, and
have fun. In 2014, the SIB will open again this event to 10 graduate
students or young researchers that will be selected to attend for free
the 2 days meeting on 27-28 January 2014 in Biel, Switzerland. Besides,
they will receive full-board accommodation during this 2 days.

This event will be a great occasion for young scientists considering a
career in bioinformatics to meet potential supervisors and discover
about job opportunities among the creators of UniProt, SwissModel, the
ExPASy server, and many other Swiss bioinformatics tools and resources.
