Dear All,

We are pleased to announce a new CUSO/SIB course:

"Genetic Diseases - exome and complete genome sequencing and interpretation"
http://edu.isb-sib.ch/course/view.php?id=148

which will take place in Lausanne 25-28 March 2013 (in the week before Easter).

The first three days of the course (held in the Genopode building of the UNIL) will comprise morning lectures and afternoon practical sessions focusing on the genome-wide analysis of variation, including
GWAS, variant identification and variant interpretation.
The fourth day will be dedicated to a mini-symposium held at the CHUV:
"Clinical research in the era of deep sequencing", featuring invited speakers working in this increasingly important field.

Prior knowledge of UNIX command-line would be an advantage for the practical sessions, and all participants should bring their WiFi-equipped laptop to the course.

Registration is now open at:

For the organizers,
Vassilios Ioannidis
