We are pleased to announce the SIB course: <br>
<br>
<div align="left"><b>"</b><b>Bioinformatics of long read
sequencing", on 8-9 November 2018, in Zurich. <br>
</b></div>
<br>
The aim of this two-day course is to familiarise life scientists
with long read (also called “third generation”) sequencing
technologies, their applications, advantages and pitfalls, and the
bioinformatics tools to analyze this kind of data.<br>
<br>
This course will be composed of:<br>
- an introduction to the techniques and data analysis methods, <br>
- a mini-symposium, featuring short talks on the current
applications of these technologies, and <br>
- a hands-on session allowing the participants to have an insight on
the bioinformatics analysis of real datasets (e.g. from PacBio,
MinION).<br>
