<p>We are pleased to announce the following SIB course: <br>
<br>
<b> "Inferring gene regulatory networks from high-throughput data
with ISMARA"</b><br>
<br>
This one-day course will be held in <b>Basel</b> <b>on 23 May
2018</b>. It is addressed to any researcher that aims to make
computational inferences about gene regulation from gene
expression and chromatin state data and would like to learn how to
use ISMARA, a web-based system, to explore predictions and to
generate new analyses of their own data. You will learn how to use
the ISMARA system, the kind of data it is able to analyze, and how
to explore in-depth all the analysis results that the system
provides, which include:</p>
<ul>
<li>key regulators, their activities, and the expression profiles
of these regulators</li>
<li>genes and pathways targeted by each regulator</li>
<li>core network of interactions between key regulators</li>
<li>main regulators of a particular gene and this gene's
expression is affected by each regulator</li>
<li>explore embedded links to the String and SwissRegulon
databases</li>
<li>how to average across replicate data and how to calculate
contrasts between particular samples</li>
<li>how to download comprehensive predictions and potential
post-processing of these results</li>
</ul>
